So happy together
Whether you’re new to art journaling or already an enthusiast, making art in the presence of others promotes belonging and understanding.
Research shows that making art can have a positive and calming effect. The act of creating allows us to express feelings, thoughts and emotions even in cases where we have no words, supporting our ability to self-regulate emotions.
Doing this in the presence of others can amplify these positive effects because being seen and heard by others is one of our basic human needs.
My workshops combine guided prompts and time for free form art to allow you to unwind, to focus, to play, to express yourself. I offer step-by-step instruction on some of my favourite techniques that you can return to again and again, alone or with company.
What you’ll find even more satisfying than the beautiful mess you’ll make in your art journal, is sharing the experience with others who are equally curious and enthusiastic about making art.
If you’ve been in one of my workshops, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, I hope to see you in one soon. In the meantime, grab a friend and try a technique from one of my videos.
Happy creating!
